Since 1985, Paul has worked internationally in all musical fields related to dance as

a composer, dance-theater performer, teacher and dance class accompanist. As a composer, Paul has written for many international choreographers and companies and his music for dance has been performed throughout the world. He has composed several pieces Martin Schlaepfer, Ballet am Rhein and in 2009 he received a PRSF `steps to music` award commissioning a work for Welsh Independent Dance.

As a class accompanist, Paul, a multi-instrumentalist, plays for both Ballet and Contemporary Class and has worked with many schools and companies throughout Europe, including The PLACE, London, Rambert School, Rotterdam Academy, English National Ballet School and Netherlands Dance Theater. He is a regular contemporary class accompanist for the Prix de Lausanne and most recently worked with the Mark Morris Dance Group and the Royal New Zealand Ballet. He has been company pianist and music coordinator for London Contemporary Dance Theatre and State Modern Dance Group, Ankara, Turkey, where he was also sponsored by the British Council to give workshops for dance teachers and class accompanists.

Paul has given his workshop “ Internal Rhythm and Breath for dancers ” throughout many international schools and academies. He is currently preparing a new multi-media opera “ Love, Lies and Sunflower Sails” and there are 4 CDs available of Paul`s work., two of composition and two for contemporary class, available via his website www.paulpavey.com.
